Shall we blog about the place that we call home? I think so, there is something beautiful about sharing the place where you live with the world. But wait a minute....we are not living yet in Shelly Beach, you'll have to wait my next blog about Shelly Beach, coming sometime in April.

Till, as Tiffany has been in school till January just over two hours drive from here since January....and as the end of the school year is fast approaching, we already nearly call this place home.

I spent in Shelly Beach 12 days with my two ladies end of September. Tiffany had some holidays to celebrate the end of the Third school term. I was back few weeks later, end of October to smooth few details about our move here in early 2017.

What do I find about the place? Well, who would have thought few years ago that I would soon change continent...for a little white ball, few sharks and a nice glass of wine. Yes, this is slightly funny, specially knowing that now I spend some two months per year in Congo....the clearly unstable DRC one!

These diving pictures are from 5 dives with Tiffany end of September. The weather is pretty unstable in September. So the nice diving went out only 5 days out of the 11we could. Didn't stop us to have amazing diving! It's hammerheads season, but we had way more than them! In October, Tiffany could clock in 4 dives when I could do 7...yes, she has to go to school too from time to time!

We may have find our new nest. The diving is planned...and as you can guess, we are even ready for some serious golf. See the pics of Wild Coast golf course....rated 13th by Golf Digest last year...and only 37usd to play with a buggy. This one is just 40 minutes from home. Next, we should be member in Southbroom, where I do have already few golf buddies who are member...it's a small world! We also plan to clock a lot of rounds in Margate golf Club. Imagine, after 2pm, 18 holes will cost us only 5usd...I love South Africa!

So I made it here for the first time back in June 2010...imagine how time flies! Been diving at least twice a year here over the years, and soon we will calling this place home. We normally have found a place where to live...but the rental agreement hasn't be signed yet...normal, we are not moving tomorrow! Let say, we will be just across the road from our dive center at Aquaplanet! Better be, as here, you meet either at 6am or 7am for the first dive...and I have to admit, I see myself pretty well diving 5 times a week!

These few dives were pretty amazing....yes, what you see on one of the picture is a Mola Mola, also known as a Sun Fish, and they see it less than once a year here....So yes, it's rare! We also had dolphins, the second encounter for Tiffany in just over 25 dives for her on Protea Bank. I have to admit, dolphins encounters underwater are always magic!

Tiffany and I next dream encounter....would be for sure humpback whales underwater. This may happen for us end of next June or early July. The true dream would be Great White Shark, they encounter them here once a year on average...you just need to be on the right dive! And yes, there is obviously no cage here!

All these pictures were taken with my new Nikon underwater camera. It goes officially to 30 meters....let say we tried it a little deeper...and so far so good!

Next blog is about diving too...just in another Ocean...pretty amazing too!
