Day Sixty-Two...

…was a hazy day. The smoke from the burning Pacific Northwest had reached central Colorado. It came in yesterday, but was very noticeable today as we left. The brown that settled over the city made taking pictures out the window of the truck even more fruitless. They all came out blurry because the camera couldn’t focus on anything unless it was less than 10 feet away.

Today we drove the first 350 miles of our home stretch and landed at a campground in Casper, WY. We’ve been in better campgrounds and we’ve been in worse. This one was right next to the interstate AND railroad tracks…double whammy. The train whistle is loud, but at least it doesn’t sound as it’s passing the campground. It’s a bit windy, maybe it’ll blow the smoke away…maybe it’ll just blow more in. We’ll have to see what tomorrow brings.
