From the happiest place on earth to the crappiest place on earth

This place is seriously hell on earth and to top it off, the one thing we came here for was cancelled this morning. We had a lovely ride in a stretch limo only to arrive at the airport to be told the helicopters wouldn't be flying due to inclement weather and poor visibility. The one place on our trip I didn't expect rain was here! Luckily we managed to book the same tour for tomorrow so fingers crossed the storm will pass quickly!

We decided on a quick snack from Krispy Kreme and a coffee to keep us going till we found somewhere for a proper breakfast. The lemon filled donut (the one they don't sell at home) is delicious. After a short revival nap back at the hotel we took a trip down the strip to the Stratosphere Tower to try out the rides situated on the 921 ft high observation deck. The rides were like the rest of the place - a bit tacky and overrated. You're getting the vibe that I love this place by now right?! If I don't see another flashing neon sign for the rest of my life it will be too soon.

Dinner was at the Hard Rock Cafe. A big juicy steak and several cocktails later, we wandered back down the strip to catch up on some sleep ready for our 3rd in a row stupid o'clock wake up call. I'm so tired my eyes physically hurt.

My lovely family (who all have such faith in me) challenged me to find the way to our room through the ridiculously confusing hotel! It seriously takes over 20 minutes to walk the length of the ground floor. I managed not to get us lost, I have no idea why they doubted me - as if I would allow myself to fail a challenge! Besides I'm the chief navigator of the family, Google maps is my best friend. (Not that it helps me in a hotel!)

Our fingers are crossed for our trip tomorrow morning and I wish my friend Lorraine a very happy birthday!
