Hey guys it's me again, your friendly neighborhood musher. I did my first tour today, hoo-rah. My team was Nanook(my favorite) and Maguak(pronounced mack-yuke) in lead, behind was Moonlight and Caesar(the one who bit me), behind them was Freddy(the old guy) and Morrisett(she never pulls) and in the wheel I had the dynamic duo, the brothers Kallik and Kassuk. It was a great team except all the M dogs don't pull because they like to let all the strong males do all the work and they want to look good for them. Everything went very smoothly. I had 4 older people on vacation from Taiwan and only one spoke english so it was a fairly easy tour. They were all scared of the dogs but LOVED to take pictures of them. We are moving locations soon, about 5km down the road because all the snow has melted where we currently are. The weather here has been great every day that there aren't tours. Especially the midnight sun tours, it always rains when there are customers. I found a golf course at the camp site where I spend my day off so that's all I'll be doing for the rest of my days off in Iceland. I've had some crazy dreams on the glacier about chairlifts and singing and sunsets with cool looking planets and the other night I dreamed that I was on a dogsledding tour. How cool is that? Not very but it would be at any other time of my life. Today the sky is blue, the snow is melting rapidly, I got a shower, laundry, groceries, my first tour and a buffet at the camp site so this is one of the best days so far. The dogs are shedding their winter coats so their is even more dog hair in everything I wear and eat. It's been fun cooking with only 10 ingredients or so. We make tons of new things like french toast, flatbread, ham and nutella sandwiches, all the healthy stuff that a person needs. Well, I continue to catch myself day dreaming about this buffet so I think I'll wrap(chicken wrap mmmmhh) things up and head over to the food. The title for this post comes from me thinking about mushing, marshmallows, and then saying something else that rhymes with mushmallow. Golden Grahams!
