Today was a bit of a slow one....

Took a leisurely drive back to Peterson's Harley Davidson shop which was about an hours ride away from Key Largo. We enjoyed the ride and reluctantly handed back the keys and said a sad goodbye to the Road Glide - till next time.

It was lunch time by the time we were finished at the dealership - next up we had some last minute cruise shopping which needed to be completed today. Both of us had to find good shoes to wear on the formal nights. We had previously purchased our fancy clothing for the formal nights back in Fort Lauderdale but haven't had time to search for shoes.

Well it's never easy when you have so much choice. The shopping took a little longer than we intended but we were happy with our purchases. Shopping here in the USA is just so amazing - prices for designer labels can be really amazingly low if you know where to look.

Shopping completed so we headed off towards the Everglades in hope of making it in time for an Airboat Tour. The roads around here are flat, flat and more flat. Our first sighting of swamps since arriving here.

The last airboat road had just left when we arrived - bummer! We had a look around and got a few good shots of some of the birds that live in the area.

We headed home to Key Largo - packed our gear up ready for an early departure tomorrow morning. We will be visiting the Everglades Holiday Park just outside of Fort Lauderdale before returning the rental car and heading to Port Everglade. This is where we will do our airboat tour.

Our cruise ship Celebrity Equinox will depart from Fort Lauderdale at 4.30pm.

Below is our itinerary for our 11 night cruise. Tour excursions have all been booked external to the cruise company. It takes a lot more work but it represents quite a significant saving and we get better quality excursions. We also chose excursions that are more personalised rather than hanging out on tours with hundreds of other tourists.

This will probably be our last blog until we return back to land on the 23 January.

You can be sure we will have plenty to blog when we return ???.
