Hi Everyone,

Last day of the year!! We had a very chilled day. We went to Elli’s café for breakfast, which was a recommended café in the Kampot area. We had freshly squeezed fruit shakes (ginger and mango for Neil and I had orange juice), then I had eggs benedict and Neil had scrambled eggs.

We didn’t do much in the day, read our books mostly.

In the evening we popped out for dinner, Neil had his favourite dumplings and noodles. We came back to the room to drink rum and coke and listen to music. Because we like different music we had our headphones on whilst getting ready and looking on the internet. A whatsapp came through from Neil saying ‘Will you marry me’ I automatically replied no, thinking he was messing around, so I carried on doing what I was doing. But then he tapped me on the shoulder and had a ring… whaaaaaaa.

It’s the most perfect ring and it’s my size!!!!!! Happy girl!!!!

We had more drinks and then headed to an Irish bar at the end of the road, we ordered two beers and shots were free on arrival. We started talking to a couple from California. They said they were heading to a party on the river front, over the bridge. We asked if we could come, so we all shared a cheap tuk tuk over the bridge and arrived at a packed bar that was on the edge of the river. We drank beer, chatted, wandered off, chatted to other random people. It was so much fun! The couple left before us, but when we left the tuk tuk back to the hostel was still only $3. I fell straight to sleep when we got in, but Neil couldn’t sleep so he finished off the small bottle of crown we had been drinking before we left. I woke at 6am and he was just starting to fall asleep.

What a perfect start to 2015!!!!
