The T's
Us walking in Austria, before Kangaroojack even existed, 2007 Hey everyone,
As you well know, we do our best to record our amazing adventures and as some of you may or may not be aware, back in 2010 Caroline put together a piece of work of around 350 photo's to a sound track of our circumnavigation of Australia, which was just terrific. They were what she considered to be our best pictures that recorded the story of our massive circumnavigation of this awesome country.
It was posted up and also given to a few people as a "pictorial torture session", and when it was complete it was awesome, but the YouTube file extension was quite complicated and we could never find the film on line , so fast forward a couple of years and under Caroline's instruction I sat around and put together our second adventure, which we called "Flipping the coin" as a metaphor from when we left living in Canberra to living in Western Australia.
So leaving our favourite farm on the 31st May 2013, we would drive up through New South Wales and when we reached Alice Springs in the Northern Territory, we would Flip a Coin to determine the direction of the next
Our Citizenship
Back in ACT at our citizenship ceremony part of our adventure, heads to Darwin or tails to Western Australia.
So with the amazing Journey, from The Australian Capital Territory to Wagga Wagga in New South Wales, up through Hay, Ivanhoe, Mildura, Kinchega National Park, Menindee, Broken Hill, James Town, Adelaide, Flinders Ranges, Mount Chambers Gorge, Leigh Creek, Farina, Roxby Downs, Maree, Lake Eyre, Coober Pedy, Oodnadata, Dalhousie Springs, crossing the Simpson Desert, Birdsville, The Binns Track, Alice Springs, East and West McDonnell Ranges, Ormeston Gorge, Palm Valley, Kings Canyon, Uluru, The Olgas, the great Central Road, via Giles weather station, Kalgoorlie, Esperence, Albany then in to Perth, which was about 4 months travel. and about 8000 Kilometres.
When we travel, I always have my trusty cheap and cheerful Panasonic point and shoot camera in my pocket, its always set on VGA, so the images are easy to download to the laptop without any need for size reduction, and with Caroline and her array of camera equipment we obviously we took a massive amount of digital images on this second leg of the adventure.
So like I have said, I decided on a sound track of this second journey, then chose about 300 digital images
Leaving Woodstock
Leaving Woodstock 31st May 2013, my spiritual home and put it together as our second film, the first image, should not really be there, it is us at our Australian Citizenship Ceremony in February 2013, I just thought it was a good image to start the set rolling from, and the second image was the amazing gift of a quilt to celebrate our citizenship and all things Australia, hand made by Helen Sheridan. This gift symbolised us so well and is is so important to us, then we dive headlong in to the travel photo's which are loaded mainly in chronological order of our trip.
So grab yourself a favourite cup of what ever you like, I did say

Hey Guys, Great update to 2010. I almost burnt my dinner because I had become so engrossed in watching your travelogue. :) Great job, the pair of you. Shame about the soundtrack but, lots of great photos on there. Took me on a trip down memory lane of places visited over the years and of our 5-month trip to the West back in 2008. Well done!! Luv, J xx (Ted's in Tassie playing ping pong in the Australian Vet's all of this week so, we are both having a holiday :) .... only kidding - about the holiday part anyway!) :) Love you guys. xxx
