Hi
Monday 13 October 4PM. Here in Villafranca in computer area in a comfortable chair. Just done some washing and it is hanging over some chairs. Just found out in the wrong place so it is now just been put with the washing area so hopefully it will dry. Also had a shower will Liz is having a rest...... has been a good restful day as the showers cleared and the temperature warmed up. After blogging this morning we sorted out where we may be staying for the next couple of nights... does change depends on the reviews and weather. Have found a good site on the net which gives all the albergues on the Camino and sometimes the opinions of follow pilgrims for us to then decided which is best for us. The book a lot use is John briely, he does not like the road route but we do . Roads that are not used that much anyway. The other day in about three hours we were passed by two tractors and three cars so not popular roads. Today for lunch we had first course green beans, for me and Liz got the local sausage cooked with egg white ,which we split half each, which went well together. Followed by salmon and salad, and plenty of salmon with no bone, nicely cooked. Liz had poked ham and cheese crumbed with chips and we both had Carmel pudding with a bottle of wine and water... only had half of the wine but ten Euro each it was a good tasty and health meal.. a holiday in this area today and the place was popular with the locals as well which is a good sign I believe. Hope to go to 8PM Mass at the convent down the road at 8PM , but before hand to share some cabinary at the bar , but will see. Have been walking through some vineyards recently and so suspect that this area gets snow as the fire is already on downstairs. At this stage will probably be in Santiago by Friday 25 October but will see how the body manages the last 200 km.... my feet have not had so much good treatment ever. The recent problem has not been blisters but falls and as most have two poles the face sufferers...I only have one pole and am enjoying it ... the poncho is worse for wear, so have another cheaper one for back up..use my shoulder bag every day and now use another for food and exceess clothes as we have four seasons in one day so have to be prepared for what comes our way...no longer enjoy the fresh grapes but were given some freshape figs the other day when we stopped for a coffee break.. this morning went into a church to take some photos and pray but was asked to leave, believe it was a convent so not sure why . Unable to enter the castle as it is owned by a celebrity couple.. museum closed but will see if we can get in this evening. Shops are regularly closed between 2PM and 6PM... so it is luck of the draw as to what is open and when... will get breakfast here tomorrow as it is only 2 Euro and you get coffee and toast butter and jam. Which is good as sometimes it is crusty buagents which are hard to get your teeth into and usually 4 Euro or so.. SO a local cafe with croissants are more popular if one can find one open at 7.30am or it is on to the next village. Some days the same people pass us a number of times as we stop at different times during the day and at different places at niget, but it is good to see and talk to such a variety of people of different ages and countries. Love it all

Change of Terraine?
Hi Anne, Loving your blog. Checking out where you are on Google maps... the next few miles look very green. Is that hills, or forest, or what. Blessings, Valerie
