10.30am and here in Villafranca de Beige and having a coffee in the Plaza Major.. yes day of rest today as have been walking every day since Leon. Today been Monday is a holiday in this town so it is quieter than normal. Paid 10 Euro last night and will stay again tonight at the same place. Sheets on the bed with pillows and blankets. The temperature at present is about 8 degrees and was raining this morning but has now cleared but cloudy and low cloud around so do not expect it to get much warmer.. Saturday was s good walking day where we walked 20km and had our showers by 3PM... our quickEST yet so had a meal in the plaza Major of barrietors, and worked out our plan until we reach Santiago. So rest here in Villafranca and perhaps also in Sarria, will see how things go. No blisters but the body is taking us 18km per day in rough terrain at times and the weather is on the change so four seasons in one day. So am taking another bag with me for food ..... usually meanders.... like mini muffins... cheese , bread nuts bananas, all from the supermarket which is so much cheaper... ALSo it carries my extras , gloves hats poncho to which I have brought. Other people have umbrella which is good as it is not windy at all, well so far....
