Hey everybody,

I hope that things are going well back in the states. I arrived in Rome after 4 hours of layovers and delays but all in all not a bad day or so of flying. The London airport is giant, the people talk funny, and the shuttle to the other terminal drove on the wrong side of the road! But it was good. I was able to get to Rome while drinking champagne and eating chocolate truffles looking out the window at the Alps and Medeterranian Sea respectively. So that was beautiful, and i really hope that i get a chance to see each up close and personal. The taxi ride back was great because i met up with a priest on the flight who teaches at the Gregorian university and he met one of his friends on the flight (Fr. paul) who teaches at Regina Apostolorum University. Fr. Paul and I rode back and he took care of all the Italian to the driver and it was cheaper than anyone elses taxi!

Ive had the chance the last 2 days in Rome to walk around a lot. I was able to see Vatican City, The Spanish Steps (right near our school) the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Piazza de Poppulo, etc. Everything here is fun and interesting. I still kind of feel like I am in the states, so it hasnt totally hit me yet! I meet all of the students here in a few hours so that will be nice. I am at orientation until Sunday and then i will meet my host family Sunday night!

I am still tired and recovering from jetlag, but it has not been too bad. Looking forward to another full night of rest.

I love you and miss you all and hope to hear from you soon.

Pace e bene,

Jonathan

PS. PLEASE forward or give out the web address to my blog so that whoever wants it has it. I will be posting pictres as soon as i charge my camera battery.

God Bless!
