Seven Sisters!

One Sunday a year a couple of churches in Reigate and Redhill get together and have church in the park. I ended up being here for that one Sunday, so I went with my friend and her family. The weather was cloudy, but it didn’t rain. It was pretty cool and there were a lot of people. Afterwards, we had a picnic at the park. We played a couple of games and chilled until it was time to go to a night service. We got to go to a church in a coffee shop and everybody gets a free drink for going. It was really cool and I loved getting a free drink that was normally 4 pounds. The next morning we had a relaxed day where we hung out and played games until a bible study that night. It was nice. We decided the next morning to go to Seven Sisters. The Seven Sisters are among the coast that the Cliffs of Dover are, but the Seven Sisters are whiter. There are seven “hills” ( more like mountains) along with a rocky beach. We drove about an hour away to get there. Once we were there, we had to walk a little ways to the cliffs. We walked to the rocky beach and saw our first look at the cliffs. I walked up to them and got to touch them. They were so beautiful and chalky. After taking many pictures, we decided to brave the climb up. Unlike everyone else, we were rebels and crawled under barbed wire then walked up a little path on the side of it. It wasn’t very long but it was super steep. When we got to the top, we saw the sign that said eroding slope, do not climb. We climbed even further to get to the very top so we could have a picnic. The view was absolutely breathtaking. On one side it was really bright and on the other side the clouds were really dark. Luckily, it didn’t rain on us. We got to enjoy our beautiful picnic. When we were done, we went down an easier way and walked in a pasture of sheep. We tried to take photos with them and touch them, but they ran away from us. After we found two sheep who would just stare at us, we made our way to back to the car. We drove back to the house and got ready to eat. We went out to a restaurant called Harvesters. It’s a steak house and was pretty delicious. I ordered their ten pound special that included a half rack of ribs, fries, corn, unlimited salad, unlimited drink, and an ice cream sundae. It was the perfect ending to a perfect day.

I'm glad you're having so much fun in England! You're right, it's a very different place at night! Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament are so pretty at night reflecting on the Thames. I'm glad you got to see Westminster Abbey, too. I really enjoyed the tour we took of it when we were there. So many famous people are buried there. I'm glad you're enjoying so many delicious meals! Please start posting pics of the food to make us all even more jealous of your trip! ;-) I love the 2 staring sheep, too! Keep enjoying your amazing trip!
