Toured the Tabasco Pepper Sauce plant yesterday on Avery Island. It is a very short tour and then you are on your own to walk the grounds and visit the country store. Of course we sampled some and bought a few things. It was very interesting and the grounds are very pretty.

Ever since we got here everyone has been telling us that we needed to go to Cafe' des Amis on Saturday morning to hear some good Zydeco music and have breakfast. You know these people must be serious about their music when they not only do music at night but in the morning too. We heard varying reports as to when we should get there from 6:30am to 8am. Now you all know that I am not a morning person so this was really a stretch for me. I set the alarm for 6am and we were there by 7:30 and I would say that there was a line of about 20 to 30 people and they didn't open until 8am. We got in line and started chatting with everyone and time went by fast. They seated us right on the dance floor, which was cool, and you sit at a table with 6 other people. Our group of people were mixed. The group of 4 were semi friendly but the couple across from us were locals and really nice and friendly. They told us all about the group that was going to play, Leroy Thomas and the Zydeco Roadrunners and what to expect. We ordered beignets (YUM)and then the music started. Man, can these guys play and wow, do these people dance! Our friends Steve and Joette from Idaho came here in February and raved about the Zydeco music and now I see why. It is awesome. I took a video as well as some pictures but the video will be on my Facebook since the blog won't support it. Now when you view them, keep in mind that this is at 8:30 IN THE MORNING PEOPLE! They were telling us about a place to go to tomorrow at 4pm to watch a group that is really good and then also to go tonight at 6pm to another place.

Well I hate to tell you but the RV park is blaring music as I am sitting here in my Coach writing this blog and people are out there dancing on the lawn and Don and Karlie are right out there with them. I need to finish this so I can get out there too but I have been so behind in my blogging that I wanted to get these out.

Not sure when I will blog again because we have been having waaaay too much fun y'all! Not sure when we will leave this place! Hahaha! 😊

So glad you made it
The picture of the lady in the red top is OUR dance teacher! Did you make it to the jam afterward? We visited Tobasco plant too. Now you'll have to go to Pont Breaux for dinner and music. Their fish platter is great.

Didn't you take dance lessons in Florida a few years ago?
