July 23, 2013 - As you know we are Not in La Grande but S. of Joseph. That is the closest city in the list that can be used by the software.
We headed into Joseph beforenoonthis morning, so we could get a good parking spot for the Stampede. Walked around the town, talking to people, and then had lunch at The Embers Brewery. Good calzone!
At 1:30, time for the Stampede. Here they come! Wow, such fun! Riding downMain St.about 20 cowboys and cowgirls enclosing 30 or more wild horses. It was over way too quickly as they turned the corner and headed to the Arena. There was a lot of excitement, especially with all the little kids, well the adults too. lol Walked around town a bit more, stopped in at Mad Mary’s for a cool iced tea and then back to the campground. Relaxed a bit and then took our evening walk around the village and over to the SP and theLake. Saw a Momma deer with her fawn, crossing the road right where we were standing. Photo Op, no camera – boo hoo.
Fun, fun day!

More memories
Little did I realize ALL of the memories your trip would be stirring up for me, wonderful memories. I have to add, "Thank you so much". Now, your "horse parade, etc.", one. Memories of our trip to Cheyenne, Wyo., for their rodeo wk., finding ourselves accidently, camping w/the cowboys & cowgirls who were in the rodeo. Talk about a thrill for the kids. Um, 2 parents also.
