I had to rinse my mouth with this absolutely rank mouthwash before getting it done.
Try saying that 10 times fast with a hole in your tongue!

Yesterday, as I was sitting by the lagoon with the raging hot sun scorching down on me, an idea came to my head. "Hey, how 'bout doing something fun today........like getting my tongue pierced!" So, Matt and I took a walk to the piercing studio, where I was to get it done. It was really funny, because my friend, Paul, had gotten his done the day before me, and they had told the lady about my cracked tongue. I asked her if it would be okay to get it pierced still, and thats when she remembered the other guys telling her about me. She said they thought I was far too scared to get it done, so I wanted to prove them wrong. It took them a while to notice when we got back to the Hostel. It didn't hurt too badly to tell you the truth. Eating dinner last night was a bit of a challenge, but I still have my tongue ring, so it turned out alright. My tongue swelled up a bit at night, but the lady said that was normal and that it will

Clamping down on my tongue...this is when I started to get really nervous!
go down in the day, which it has. I still have a little bit of a lisp, which the guys make fun of me for, and always ask me to repeat things, but it's not too too bad. Sounds about the same as when I first got my retainer 😊

I have to go back in about two weeks for a shorter bar. And don't worry Mom and Dad, it's not a metal ball, so it won't break any teeth. The lady who pierced it said she would never put metal balls in the mouth, because of how important (and expensive) teeth are. All in all, it looks really cool. The guys said it suits me really well!

Other than getting used to my piercing, Matt and I have just been searching for a job through a job recruitment agency, and looking at outdoor markets all day. The weather here is beautiful, so it's really too bad we have to start work soon. There was even a position at Baskin Robins available, so I just might be applying there. Hehe, we'll see.

Nothing else really new. I saw Superman Returns two nights ago. It was okay. Kevin

Owwwwwwwwww! It hurt for a little bit after, but then it just felt cool.
Spacey should've had a bigger role in it I thought. I might go see Pirates of the Carribean 2 tonight. It would be nice to see Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom again! Hehe.

Hopefully, my next entry will be letting you know about my new job....at Baskin Robins 😉

Marie 😊

It's a little easier to see in this one. The ring looks really close to the edge, but it's not.
