Roommates!Roommates!Roommates!

Jen and I about to go out.
I'm actually glad it's Sunday and the weekend is over simply because it means that I'm getting good food again. Our program only includes meals from Sunday dinner through Friday lunch, so over the weekend we're on our own for food. Don't ask me why, I guess it could be because they know that we're mostly traveling on the weekends anyway. So anyway, not only do we have to spend money on food over the weekend, but we don't get our Señora's delicious cooking.

I really love the homemade Spanish food that Carmen makes for us. It's like eating in a hotel every single day. Usually for breakfast we get some sort of bread with butter and jam with juice or hot chocolate to drink. Lunch is usually the biggest meal. We have a lot of soups; I usually can't go through a whole day without having some sort of soup. We also have a lot of bread. I guess she goes to the bread bakery down the street every morning so we always have fresh bread. We usually have some sort of meat dish which tends to be either chicken or fish. The other day she made fajitas and

they were absolutely delicious. I can't even describe how good they were. To drink, it's always water. For dessert -- fruit. I love her food. Although I like exploring cute little restaurants in Seville, nothing really compares to her cooking, and I would rather save the money anyway.

I'm still getting used to the eating times here. Lunch isn't until 3 p.m. when I get done with class, and dinner is served promptly at 8:30 every night. I usually have some sort of fruit as a snack during the school day, otherwise I'm starving by lunch time.

I love our meal times. Kia, Sam, Jen and I can just talk about our lives and gossip for hours. I really like living with them.

I was supposed to go to Aracena on Saturday, but unfortunately I decided to do a lot of shots on Friday night instead. Jen woke me up at 7 to go on the trip, but there was no way I was going to get on that bus. I literally spent the whole day in bed instead -- whoops. Guess I learned my lesson on that one.

Today we walked to Plaza de España

again and took a lot of pictures. My camera actually died on the way there but my friends got a lot of good ones that I should be able to steal from them.

We just booked tickets to Milan, Italy for the weekend after next. I'm so excited! We got a pretty decent deal; about $85.00 round trip. 4 girls, 4 guys and a weekend in Italy. Ahhhh can't wait!

Other than that, not much else is new. I already have an exam tomorrow and we've only had one week of classes. The intensive language program really works us to the bone. I think that I'm understanding spoken Spanish a lot more, but my speaking is still pretty poor. It's a work in progress to say the least.

I should go study more. Have a good night!

Ciao!
