We drove up to Cabdella as we wanted to walk up to see some of 30 mountain lakes there. It was very windy and cold, so we decided to hang around for a couple of days exploring on the bike and doing chores. Today the wind had dropped so we walked up to the Coll de Saburo, there was a cable car which would have saved us the first 300 metre climb, but this closed at the end of September! It was a brilliant walk even though it was very strenuous. It was amazing to find an old disused railway and the five lakes we walked past were all dammed. All this engineering with such limited access must have been a challenge.
