We wake up to our 2nd day in Vegas, stroll down stairs and have some breakfast, go back up to our room and relax before our Limo arrives to take us to the airport for our Helicopter ride over Hoover Dam and fly over the West Side of the Grand Canyon! Another amazing site as we fly over the Hoover Dam and the West Side of the Grand Canyon, again the beauty of this Canyon is truly amazing! After our ride we head off to do some retail shopping and there's not much to brag about. We head back to our room and see a storm brewing in the distance and once back in our room we can see lighting from our window and Steve gets his camera set up and is snapping madly, he is in his element. The view is greatwith all the city lights and the lightning strikes.
We head out for dinner and take the sky-bus to another casino and put our winnings from last night (a whole $80.00) back into the machines, we have a bite to eat and head back to our room. Vegas, what can I say... we came, we saw,
Stranded
An Abstract sculpture ?Outside The Vdara Hotel but it wasn't our favourite place, too many people. Good night all, another early night......... off to Virginia Creek tomorrow through Death Valley, that should be interesting! Weather ….... Hot!!
Accommodation: Vdara Hotel & Spa
2600 W.Harmon Avenue
Las Vegas
Thoughts: This was a nice place to stay, centrally located with easy access to the light rail and the Bellagio and Venetian etc.
Most of the Casinos put on buffet deals and the foods nice, if you love your seafood, you'll love it.
The Helicopter ride to the West rim is well worth the ride, you get to see the Vegas strip,Vegas as a hole,Hoover Dam,Lake Mead and of course the West rim of the Grand Canyon.
