Day 19 - Lucerne to Innsbruck

An early start this morning as there was a lot to do. We drove for about an hour and a half before our first stop in Vadaz, the capital of Liechtenstein. We had about 45minutes here, enough time to have a walk around and get a hot chocolate before boarding the bus again for our drive to Tyrol, Austria.
Some of the group spent a good 2.5-3 hours doing white water rafting which i declined as I'd already done it in USA and also i like living. So those of us that didn't do us spent that time getting the most delicious lunch at a little restaurant down the road. There was only 25 of the 51 people doing it so there was plenty of people to hang with that also didn't do it. When they others got back they said it was good but it was very tame, and freezing cold so I'm glad i decided not to do it.
When we drove forn about an hour longer we arrived at Tyrol. Here we walked through the stunning little town, past the palace in the middle of the city, and past all the specialty shops in its medieval Old Town before Leona lead us to the Swarovski shop. All the stuff was so cheap, it was amazing. We spent ages in here before we rushed though the check-out (with 3 items in hand for me) as we had to meet up with Leona and the rest of the group to get the coach up to the Olympic Ski Jump and Bobsledding track ing Innsbruck.
It was only when we got there that we completely realised what we were in for. There was four of us and a professional driver in one bobsled. We travelled 1720m in 1.04minutes getting up to speeds of just over 100km/ph. It was crazy. Such a rush.
After all that fun we headed to the hotel for our included dinner and another quiet night after such a busy day and a very long day ahead of us tomorrow when we head to Venice, Italy.

lol How can you now be scared of white water rafting?! It was awesome on the GS09! I was SO scared before, but LOVED it!
