I spent X'mas holidays(from Dec 25th to 27th) on walking trekking path No.7, No.12 and No. 13 with my old boy(class of '87) and his co-workers(one woman and 4men).
On the first day, we walked trekking path No.7 in the south west of the JeJu. this path is a seaside path. It took about 3hours 30 minutes by a fast walking. there are good sceneries of seaside in this path. we enjoyed seafood for lunch. and we lodged a guest house for the Jeju trekkers.
On the second day, we walked trekking path No. 12. this path is a inland path. It took about 4 hours by feet. I can see many mandarin orange orchard, stone walls and traditional houses in Jeju and met falling heavy snow. I trekked a volcanic hill and we met a woman who trekked lonely. we trekked with her. we invited her our lodging house. she allowed. we had a dinner with her and talked. to me. she looked like "a lonely planet". she is a librarian in an elementary school in Gyeunggi-do. she was on holiday from Dec 24th to Dec 31th 2010.
On the third day, we walked trekking path No.13. with " the lonely planet". we again walked a seaside path. I enjoyed good scenery of the sea, clean air, a group of volcanic layer and cool sea wind. It took 4 hours by a slow walking. we enjoyed seafood for lunch and drank hot coffee with seeing somewhat rough wave. It's good.
I hope that someday, I will trekking these paths alone for becoming " a lonely planet".
I am on winter vacation from Dec 24th, 2010 to Feb 6th, 2011. but I must go to school to process official papers very often.
and I hope I will meet again " the lonely planet" in somewhere, someday. and I hope "the lonely planet ! Happy new year!" when we parted on third day in the bus and you gave me an opportunity to shake hands with you, I can feel your right hand was somewhat cool. I can still remember that moment.
