Karen O meets Seattle Yeah Yeah Yeah

This week is concert week for me. I was suppose to go to Coachella, but alas with my current work travel schedule and lack of time with the doglets in AZ - i will see most of the bands I want to see in Seattle.

Tonight i met Bruce at Matt's in the Pike St market area. This little place has had rave reviews, small menu and reservations are a must. After the black cod special, we were off. Well ok a Bombay Saphire and Tonic pit stop and we were off to the Paramount.

Paramount Seattle is an old theater, and I am not much for one of theater shows, but my latest lust is Karen O of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. We hit the bar, but alas they wont let us out with our drinks. So missed the opening band.

Karen O spews sexuality of 2006. I dont know - but thats all i could think of. They threw down the usuals.. Gold Lion went off. Watch out for Karen O - after her Addidas track this past winter, i expect big things. For a new band that almost broke up over their latest album, they pulled it all together.

Being the balcony meant sound was not the best, but not too loud. Great show, but too short - i think thats the latest theme. I was reminded of how the late 80's early 90's new wave/synth pop/cure era is back in full effect. Seattle has its own 'style' and my fashion concious eyes took it all in.

Tomorrow LADYTRON!!! at Neumos. They sold out Chicago,and I believe seattle as of today.. So this week its music not Pho.

No pictures as I forgot the camera - but oh I should have taken a picture of Karen O. She takes the pixie/boy hair cut to a new level. Her precense on stage and voice is one to reckon with. Travis G, pay attention - DOH i just got you in trouble.

Seattle has been fabulous with weather. I need to figure how to live here in the summer and Phoenix in the winter.
