The Announcement

Over the next 6 months or so, we are going to India, London, Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador and Colombia.

After rolling around the idea of making this trip for a while, we had to figure out the 'how' and the 'when'. In order to do this we would need funds. No, we did not win the lottery or come across an inheritance from a long lost relative....so we went the old fashioned route and worked hard with our heads down for a couple of years avoiding any major investments. We are blessed to have some truly great family, friends and contacts in places like India, London, Brazil, Bolivia, Argentina, Chile and Colombia. The 'when' was a culmination of variables that came together over the last couple of weeks including the above and also involved considering climates at different times, flight deals, and really just pulling the trigger on doing it!

We have both been very fortunate to work for great companies and with some amazing people. It was not going to be easy to just say 'adios' all of a sudden and we didn't want to do just that either. We had some great conversation with the important people at both of our jobs and stressed how much we truly enjoyed working there, for our companies and clients, with those people and within a great industry. We would be looking forward to speaking with them on the return from our trip. (Thank you to all! You know who you are!)

We are now looking forward to catching up with as many people as possible before we leave in a couple of weeks...
