Today Dad and Karen were arriving here and Jake and I went into Whitefish to pick them up from the train station. We got there a bit early and the train was late so we went and found a Starbucks and chilled out for a while. The train pulled up just after 8 am and we met Dad and Karen as they got off. They had got the overnight train from Portland and had a great time looking at all the sights.
We soon headed back to Bigfork and dropped all their gear off at our cabin and had a cupper and a chat.
The girls were happy to see them and were telling them what they had been up to. Dad and Karen soon got settled and we headed down to the house to say hello to all of the family. We had a cupper and a chat and sorted out a few more things for the wedding.
Karen was a bit tired so they headed back to the cabin for some rest and Jake and dad headed up to town to get there rental car. We spent most of the day just chilling out down by the
lake and the girls spent their time playing with Solomon and Aya.
The lake was still a bit chilly so they only stayed in the shallows playing with the rocks and splashing around. We soon headed back to the cabin for a rest and Karen was still asleep so we just relax for abit then headed back down to the house to get dinner ready. Before dinner I took the kidds up the back and picked all the sweet peas and we got heaps the girls and I had fun and dani nearly stepped on a snake......
Abby was making her Sticky date pudding for dessert so everyone was wondering what is was going taste like but I told them it was going to the best in Bigfork. We were having hamburgers and fresh corn for dinner and some salad so that went down a treat. Abby’s sticky date pudding turned out awesome and everyone loved it.
We soon finished up and help tidy up and got ready to head home. It had been another big day so we all had an early nite.
