After the showers of last night and evening disappeared, Bangkok got a nice blue sky and a much clear air. I walked on the streets and head to a Thai coffeehouse to start the day. Onn the way was already pampered with some bags of pineapple and melon and watch again a festival of exotic snacks.

I went inside this place and had my cappuccino. Quite European. But only the drink. After that, I went to the supermarket to get some water. There is where I realized. It was the noise level....It was it that make me feel unoticed yesterday and again today. Like a expat in Bangkok.
Finally I was used to the Asian level of noise and was using the same volume. And that doens't mean only talk like you are about to breath in, but also the movements, the way of moving in the space. And, I guess, That's why this incredible sensation that I am not a crazy turist anymore, but someone that knows how to be.

Having this thoughts, while walking the nice Lumpinni Park, I suddently realize how much we laugh about Asians when they talk to us. They are very shy, very calm, very soft. And they smile. Now imagining that this is the way to be and we just come here with our exaggerated noises and non/verbal language. That must drive Asians crazy. They can probably not understand why someone need to be that way....
And that is the moment when I really realized again that this world is so balanced as a whole and so full of issues to be worked out on a regional cases. And out of a sudden, I feel like supporting the globalisation as a cultural movement, even rejecting with all my strength it as a economic one.

We just need to interchange more and more. We need to get mixed in a way of sharing the plus of each culture and absolve them.

It is funny because in a sense I always apreciate the stamina of the Portuguese people. BUt when I look close, I can see this stamina being bad used. Because this so called "temperamental and appasionate" easily becomes a trouble source. Here in Asia I think they have stamina, but they know how to deal with it. It is not the same as the northern European countries that simply don't have it.

So Bangkok, full of traffic and chaos is perceived as a very silent and quiet city, once you take only the human noises. Once you try to see that I don't need to make it laugh, to make it intense...

I got lost again on a flower market, on a temple, watching how they spend their evening on a park and getting literally lost after that. More Bangkok. More Asia. The end of the daysong iwas a downside of spending almost one hour on a taxi to come back to the place I am staying. But on the other side, I feel the heart beating of this city. And by that I fell my own and sense the others> This colourfull landscape of almost 8 million people that live in this city.
