Port Augusta to Ti Tree NT

Greetings !!!!!
We haven't posted a blog for while as we've been too busy touring and broadband reception is patchy in the outback (don't believe what Telstra tell you.)
Because of the big wet up north we've had to change our plans as various tracks a closed.
As well as by-passing Oodnadatta track we found out the Tanami was closed...so we're heading straight up the guts to Katherine and then across to Broome.

We've since Conquered !!
The Rock !!
The Olgas !!
Kings Canyon !!

Settling into the routine of packing and unpacking the camper.
Did the Uluru walk....Video Skyped (Steve’s Olga) from on top of the Rock. (Yes I took the netbook up)
The Olgas were equally spectacular. Richard did his usual mountain goat exploration of caves.
Kings Canyon was awesome...did the 3.5 hour ridge walk in just over 2 hours...getting fitter with all these walks. Did the chopper ride over the Canyon....breathtaking !!
Now at a little place in the middle of nowhere called Ti-Tree...it's the roughest pub I've ever seen with an equally rough and rude barmaid.....!!! (Lol)
Catch ya later .....

Looks and sounds like a great adventure so far. You've taken some amazing pictures like the panaramic one and the Garden of Eden. Hope you guys aren't getting on each others nerves. Remember to drink lots of 'water'. Cio for now. Connie x

sensational
Budge - Knew all those photos as soon as I saw them. If you have changed route to go up the guts - some suggestions for you - Alice is good to look around. Go to the reptile park. Make sure you go to rainbow valley in afternoon and watch the sun set. As you head north camp overnight at the devil's marbles - grouse. Must see katherine gorge. Across the middle you will need to stay at Victoria River. Get to Kununurra - make sure you go for a boat ride and a swim in lake argyle - brilliant. Light plane flight over bungle-bungles and argyle diamond mine is also worthwhile. Give halls creek a miss and camp at margaret billabong (about another 50km's further on). Fitzroy crossing has the best caravan park (go figure!!!) - see Giekie and tunnel gorges if you can - then you are in Broome!!! Travel safely ny friend and enjoy Regards DF

What about the Tanami?
I can hardly stand up, WHAT!! No Tanami track!!! Of course you'll have to come back to it later on I would imagine. How else are we going to get photos and find out how long it is. I am a bit jealous, you all look so happy, like it REALLY is a great trip. How is the trailor performing, and holding out. I'm wondering just like Spiro, did you have to leave it by the side of the road in Port Augusta? Did you get a few grand for it for the value in scrap metal. 12 tons of steel should fetch a pretty good price. I would also like to know if there was a goat waiting for Richard in that cave. Why else would someone climb way up there. If Stevo had of seen it, he would have shot it in the guts by then. Keep up the good travelling men, and stay safe, especially in those outback pubs. The Barmaids will see the fresh meat walk in and try and tear you to pieces. And enjoy the sun. As Spiro said, its friggin' freeeeeezzzin here, and rather wet at times. I can't wait to see your new physiques when you return, after all that exercise, you're gonna have to work hard to get your old bodies back. And I hope the supply of Peri Peri is holding out, otherwise the faces in the photos wouldn't be so cheerful, I'm sure. Bon Voyage adventuremen of milpara

whas happn
Hey George and other dudes what is happening? Lucky is miserable without you but barking less than when you are here. Katherine must be tougher and yet kinder. Greg Tsiro sais hi. Connie and I are missing the visits but I am drinking for two to make up. Went through considerable Russian 'water' last night.
