3am .....Got woken by the missus "GET UP George Steve just rang he and Richard are on the way!!!"
I thought we weren't leaving till 4am....oh well there goes my sleep in LOL !!

3:30am We left Melbourne on a cold wet and wintery morning.

Only 15km up the road Disaster strikes !!
Got an SMS from the wife....."You've left behind the bucket of Fried Chicken and other delectable goodies your mum made you" !@#$%$#@!@#$%$#
Oh well it's good to get away from the rat race.....
Lots of rain on the way up so we just kept on driving till the sun came out which happened to be at Port Augusta. 1100 km's and 13 hours later we were all delerious by the time we got to the Caravan Park.

Great kick off and love the story so far. Well done on such a big effort to knock over 1100km...I bet you couldn't do it with the Kirathes in the car. Kids love the blog they were glued to the site...Connie is jealous and wants to go on a holiday too. You never know I may get to use my camper trailier for the 2nd time in 7 years.
