Did I mention we had a rooftop pool? ;o)
Well, we have begun to settle in with no time for hanging around. Chris started his job in a humongously tall tower block which you can actually see from the roof of our apartment block. It has over 59 floors - we know this because (obviously we can see it!) but also because on his very first morning whilst waiting in reception, he was mistakenly collected and taken into a random meeting on the 59th floor! His office is actually on the 15th floor I think, and his colleagues were all very confused as to where he had disappeared to when his real boss went to collect him from reception! (for St Wilf's people, it was a Tai Chi Bob moment!)

You can have a look at our apartment on this website:

It is nicer than our real house in the UK! We love it - especially the pool. We are only 8 stories high, and we are on the 6th floor. It is a very quiet block so we haven't gotten to know the neighbours yet, although we have seen a few none-thai faces to say hello to. The staff are very friendly so I have be-friended the nice lady Ki in the office and go down to ask her a daily question just for someone to talk to!

I am currently looking for a job here and pound the streets and internet every day, dishing out my CV. Fingers crossed! I'm sure Office Ki will soon be sick of me hanging around! On the other hand you may know that I do have a job in Vietnam - woo hoo!! It's at the British International School and not a horrific distance from where Chris's office will be. In fact, I had the choice of 3 jobs and just got offered a 4th interview today so I am feeling quite pleased with myself. Anyway, enough self congratulation. Time to go and pound the pavements again.

More soon on the adventures of Chris and Lucy x (and I will try to add a photo / video)
