Well, my last real full day in Austin- I feel...not sure. I got to see my longtime childhood friend for lunch and a Barnes and Noble trip 😊 this was a good thing- it reminded me that I'll be back soon enough at Fire Bowl and Barnes and Noble in a few months and we'll pick up where we left off- 4 months will fly so fast.

It's a beautiful sunny day with a nip in the air- I am not one for lucky signs and charms, but I do believe God speaks to us in mysterious ways, and I can't help but smile optimistically feeling the sun warm my cheeks and I get excited about my trip. Thank you God for a beautiful day in Austin before I leave.

Packing has been a CRAZY process. I hope it will all work out- ahhhh! Sakura has been all over my stuff and at one point ran off with a little coin purse I had on my bed. It looks like a little stocking and a perfect little toy for her...grrr...oh well- I will miss her. She will be 7 months old when I return- hopefully she'll still be playful

for a few more months while she's still young.

I leave tomorrow around lunchtime after I say goodbye to some people at church and then will get to spend the afternoon and evening with my wonderful Beau. Although he needs to and would like to work, I am glad he has the night off anyway- I will miss him.

Mom and Dad don't seem too worried- I think they know I'll be fine and they'll get to see me in a few weeks anyway when they come to visit me and travel Europe for a while. I am looking forward to that visit- it'll be my half-way marker to my trip.

Still am having trouble shaking some sad thoughts and feelings, but once I land in Shannon, I am sure I will be too excited about exploring- it's just that last "goodbye" in the airport from my friends and family I greatly dread with a heavy lump in my throat as I know I will be fighting back tears. If I could only get around the "goodbye" - then I would be okay.

<3 you all
