so sometime yesterday a pipe burst along the main pipeline which unfortunately its effects trickled down to us. So temporarily we are without water. So pray that we as well as a good part of the city are soon restored. Cause otherwise soon we are not only going to be those loud americans but also those stinky americans.

I realized today that while the snow is really pretty and it coming down and playing in it is amazing, walking around when it is melting and slippery and freezing over, is NOT! My roommate kasey slipped and sprained her ankle, not too badly but enough to have her putting her leg up for most of the day. and I lost count of how many times I went oh oh oh and flailed my arms. It might sound funny but man when you already stand out, looking like an idiot is not so great.

oh and sorry for being a little late today, I had class till about 7:30 and then was starving so I had to make my dinner. Which without water is quite a challenge.

So what happened today? I got to sleep in!! I was going to go to the bookstore to see what kind of books they had but decided that my warm bed was more important. I then woke up about 11:30 and headed to school to run some errands. Including finding my way around the library. So I read all of my art history stuff for the next few days except this one book which I had to check out. I then went to try to get into the "ireland in transition" class in case I can't get into my modern irish class, but learned that it had been canceled for today, so I got to sit down and read my checked out book. WOW its amazing!!!! The volume I got was called Art In Theory 1900-1990. I highly advise checking it out if you like art and any volume because they have all the way back to 1600 (or it might even be a good random gift to a certain girl, cough cough). It is so neat it contains literary statements about art from that time, interviews of artists and direct writings from those artists. I just was able to read a few pages but I really want to look them up during the rest of my time here and when I get home cause its basically a huge compilation of art knowledge and a look at motivations behind or information on art movements. I mean, WOW if you are an art nerd, like me, look it up! You won't be sorry!!

So after that, I had my "culture, literature and language in ireland" class and it was AMAZING!! it is basically this old guy with balding red hair sticking up in all different directions telling us all about ireland and random stories and tangents. Today we talked about the history of the irish language and you might think that sounds lame and boring, which it probably would be if taught by anyone else. but this guy, I mean wow he is the funniest guy ever. It was one of those classes that we were laughing the whole time but came out of it being like wow I want to share this knowledge with everyone who will listen! Which one of those things is that irish people DO NOT speak gaelic!! Oh no, they speak IRISH!! Gaelic is actually the Scottish form of it and is NOT spoken in Ireland. We were told that although it might sound exactly the same or near the same, it is not and if we want to be proper we are to say that those in Ireland speak Irish. So there is your little lesson for today. Look forward to getting tidbits every now and then!

so ya i think thats it. have a good day and talk to you all soon!!

The Cliffs
I just read that the Cliffs of Moher are among the top 8 places to visit in the world. Will you be able to see the Cliffs during your stay? We all hope your water pipe gets fixed soon, you stinking American. Love, Pa
