had an early start this morning and decided to do the hawkes bay wine region, we started off with te mata which is a huge volcanic hill where all the hang gliders go off of, really spectacular, then we did a tour of the wineries which were really good, we eventually found our way to cape kidnappers which has a spectacular golf course on top but they wouldnt let you through the gate unless you had a tee off time which is very difficult to get.
the wine tour took up the whole day and rose had an early night and i went out for dinner on my own.
