A quick visit to KL.

Well, Steph and I have spent the past three days in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I can't say that we have done much with our time and I can't say that I have much to show for being here. We spent most of the first two days trying to find a flight from KL to Delhi, India. It turned out to be much more complicated then we expected. We could not book online tickets ourselves therefore had to go through a travel agency. The travel agencies were unsure as to whether Steph needed a return ticket out of India in order to be let into the country. After some serious searching (Steph took a taxi to the India Embassy), we still have no definite answer but we have a plane ticket to India for Thursday morning via Sri Lanka. Every afternoon that we had time to do some "tourist things", there was a downpour and we were forced to retreat to our hotel! Today (Wednesday) we finally had a chance to do a little visiting. Although, still not much. I spent to morning visiting the KL towers which were nothing more then two tall buildings with a huge shopping mall underneath. Let me tell you how torturous it was to walk through such a beautiful mall, dressed like a bum and not being able to purchase anything.... it SUCKED! Anyway, after lunch we took a bus to visit the Batu Caves just outside of KL. They ended up being a bit of a dissapointment since we paid extra to vist two other caves.... not very impressive at all. I will try to put some pictures up as soon as I can. Not sure what we will do tonight. I would love to go see the fireflies light up the trees along the river just outside of KL but it is kinda expensive to get to.... so, we shall see. Perhaps I will just sleep since we only got a couple of hours sleep last night. (I had too good a time last time drinking $.25US Gin and Tonic at the Reggae Bar!). So, the next entry, I will be in India.... stay tuned! I am so excited!
