Happy New Year guys!

I had an insane New Year's Eve here at Mirjam's. I was not prepared for it nor could I have been.

The reasons for why it was so awesome are as follows.

1. Every kind of firework known to mankind is available to the public, 100%!l(MISSING)egal.

2. Every kind of firework known to mankind is cheaply available to the public, 100%!l(MISSING)egal.

3. Everyone in Holland, and I literally mean everyone and their freaking brothers gets fireworks for New Years. And uses them.[

With all of the above explained, here is a video to illustrate the war zone I somehow ended up in. It's a little dark out but if you focus well enough you should be able to see things clearly. And keep in mind that Mirjam's new house is on the outskirts of town. That the fireworks I saw were quiet compared to other parts of the city and country.

WOW
Hey there, Looks like you had a great time. How was your Christmas? Back to school tomorrow, aren't you glad you put in your time and graduated? What are you doing to keep yourself busy there? I'll share your posts with the guys at school. I'm sure everyone is hoping for a snow day tomorrow but sooner or later we have to get back to business. Thanks for keeping us posted on what is happening with you. Take Care and Happy New Year. Peace, Mrs. Melvin

Happy New Year!
That video was pretty wild! I saw a brief display of fire works at Boyne Mountain at 10 pm New Years Eve but I guess you have to be in Holland to really see the action. Thanks for sharing with this blog, it's fun to learn of cultures in far away lands. Now that you are on your second tour I would image your language skills are really advancing too. Could that be a useful skill in seeking employment? Jon, I remember that cute little boy you were in first grade and now I am wishing you a "Happy New Year" while you are in the season of adulthood and in Europe no less! Did somebody just fast forward this movie? May God Bless you and Mirjam for this coming year, love Mrs. Mills
