Today we wanted to take it easy. We left the hotel this morning and headed for some of the small shops here in Ubud. It was a beautiful day outside and great for walking the streets. We made our way in and out of some of the shops mingling and conversing with some of the local vendors. It was fun. Next Dewa told us he wanted to take us to a famous rice terrace. On the way, we stopped and had a nice lunch with ANOTHER beautiful view. Heard this enough yet? The food was great and we enjoyed a nice relaxing lunch with a great breeze. After lunch we arrived at the Tegallalang rice terrace. This place had an amazing view!! We walked around there for a bit and finally left as there were so many people there trying to sell us stuff.

After the rice terraces, we stopped in another local village to look around at some more of the local shops. This was a short stop as we saw a lot of the same stuff we had seen before in other shops. On this stop we noticed many women in a small open area all working under several huts. Dewa explained to us that they were preparing for a cremation ceremony that was to take place in middle September. The ladies were making offering baskets which were all hand woven and filled with multiple different items such as rice and vegetables. We took some video of this.

As it approached 3:30, it was time to head back to the resort as we had more spa time scheduled for 4pm. These were treatments that were going to be done in our room! Full body massage, body scrub, and mud bath!! After our spa treatments we had our candlelight dinner scheduled for tonight. It was a beautiful 6 course dinner and a great end to yet another incredible day in Bali!!

We are sad we are leaving tomorrow as this has been an amazing Honeymoon to say the least. The smiling face of the Balinese people is something that will never be forgotten and will always be a cherished memory. Being able to experience such a colorful culture has been such a blessing and something that means so much to both of us.
Tomorrow is going to be a long day so time for some much needed rest.

Goodnight all!

Love you!
