8th May, 2009 Las Vegas
Another hottie, should reach 100F and it did + another 3 (103F)
Restful day and then all hell broke loose.
We booked another show, "Magic's a Drag", should have known, it was helarious, would reccommend to anyone, the Magician is a Drag Queen (quite famous over here), "Cashetta". And she dragged me up on stage, apart from the comedy she is also a very good magician and I still can't work out how she did the trick with me (no not that sort of trick).
After the show we visited a number of Casino's along the strip, went up the replica Effiel Tower (amazing views), watched the volcano and "The Sirens" at Treasure Island, eventually getting to bed at 2am (late for us oldies).
A great night out.
9th May, 2009 Off to somewhere near Zion National Park
Had sorted out on Google a little place to stay "Panaca", close to the Utah border, travelled up SH93 through Alamo, Caliente and to Panaca where we were told "No RV park here", so onto Cedar City for the night.
Terrific climb over the Delamar Mountains, went through a pass at 6719 ft,
hard work dragging a 24ft RV behind. This is the scenic route and again desert and more desert but finally into some areas of green (heavily irrigated) and cows. To date we would have only seen a max of 20 cows, but today we saw many and even a few sheep and horses.
Cedar City is center for the local ski resorts, a very nice town and also gateway to the Zion and Bryce National Parks.
Anyway enjoy the photos, have a laugh at my expence.
