Rest day, just time out today, had a swim, went for a walk and went to a show in the evening. Went to American Superstars, it was great, 5 star impersonators - Micheal Jackson, Christine Aguilira, Elvis, someone McGraw and Rod Stewart along with a great band and dancers.

Up early this morning and back over the Hoover Dam into Arizona, heading for Grand Canyon West. Grand Canyon West is in the Hualapai (pronounced wal-a-pie) Indian Nations tribal lands and is home of the Grand Canyon Skywalk. Directions were on par with all others (nil) and after heading down the wrong road and getting the right directions we travelled down 21 miles of unsealed road to the Canyon.
The Hualapai Nation are a sovereign state within there own rights and have a huge industry in operation at the Canyon
We went to the first stop by bus, viewed the Canyon, watched Indians perform their customary song and dance and visited their replica villages - great
Then out onto the Skywalk, not good for the feint hearted - there were a number of people unable to walk on the glass (wasn't us). Awesome,
the fall below is 2000ft and to the bottom of the Canyon is 4000ft.
The Grand Canyon can be seen from the moon so you can be assured it is huge, nearly a mile deep here and over a mile wide, the Colorado River can be seen at the bottom of the walls.
Not allowed your camera on the Skywalk - its a have so you have to purchase the photos taken by them at a cost of $30 US each - not good PR and they weren't selling to many.
Then onto the bus and onto Guano Point, the place where they built a tramway across 8800ft of Canyon in 1958 (when men were men).
Back on the bus and to a Ranch - went for a ride on a wagon with the Hualapai people, interestingly enough they know about the Maori people and are interested to know if we have met any. Takes a bit of explaining.
Anyway, enjoy the photo's
