Quarantine!
The Black Plague of Flat 15 Day 3 in a row! I am on a roll!
WARNING:
Flat 15 is under quarantine! No one enter upon risk of contracting the plague!
A few nights ago, Haley, my neighbour, had to be taken to the hospital vomiting up a storm. She had a stomach virus that is now going around. Henry had it yesterday and no I think my flatmate Emeri might be coming down with something. There are signs all over the door of 15, warning possible guests and victims. I bet I will wake up sometime this weekend with this vile bug. I hope, if any day... it is Saturday. Have fun things planned for every other day.
Today was the usual Thursday... wake up for classes a little before 8, only there was something extra special about this morning... our shower is working!!! For the longest time, the six of us (2 boys, 4 girls) have been using one shower, but the other (and bigger) one is now working. Although, we cannot adjust the temperature. It is set slightly hotter than I would like, but it is bigger! Not as big as my shower back home, but I can deal. It does make
shaving the biggest ordeal of my life though. So as you can imagine, that doesn't happen very often. Oh well, creative way to keep warm I guess. HA I have no shame.
Maths was at a brisk 9 am, thank God Erica didn't ask him to open the windows this time. She always does, and he aways opens the windo right behind me. Because I am just taking College Algebra, alot of this stuff I have seen before, but he often goes about a different way of doing it. I have already gotten used to starting on my thumb when counting on my fingers. As was pointed out to me yesterday.
Came back to the flat and quickly threw together a speech. Today we had to do it in front of the camera. We had to talk about a hobby, so naturally I talked about drama.. I really don't have any other hobbies, unless you include collecting publix recipe cards. And I may have lost my collection!!!!!! I'm so upset, I need to find it!
Anyways, my speech was full of the crazy stories of things that have happened to me in theatre. Like falling down the
stairs in Jekyll, slapping Spencer in Amphibious, Parallel Lives in general, etc. It was supposed to be 3 minutes long and mine ended up being 8.5! Oh well, I've been good on time so far, and people seemed to enjoy it. I also talked about how I believe there is no such things as an acting method, and that I'm not studdying to become an actress because I wouldn't take direction seriously. I'm not the type that things imagining what pet my character had at the age of 3 will help me at all. Plus, I see a character as a work of art, I don't like people telling me how to do things. But that is why I am in communications... tada, be myself, be entertaining, win-win sitch for Kim Possible.
Dr. Parkes wasn't there in English today, but one of the GC's Tim came down to play 1984 for us. And give us more work! Geeze, I cannot believe how many assignments he can have going at one time! But the class is more enjoyable to me that I thought it would be, I definately enjoy the one-on-one capabilites of such a small class. We got out
early because he only wanted us to see the first 30 minutes thankfully, so I went to the British Museum to start looking around for ideas for my thesis. This nice family coming out gave me their map, I didn't really need it but I took it anyways. It was only upon later study did I realize they gave me the really nice one that you have to pay £2 for. On my way out I saw a cute British family and decided I should share the love. When I walked up to them and said "excuse me, are you going into the museum" the father said "no thank you" and tried to keep walking. I think he thought I was someone trying to ask for money for one of those charities. I did have my bag and a notebook. I think his wife knew I wasn't because she pulled him back. When I offered them my map, he looked really embarrassed, but was really thankful. Maybe that map has been going around all day. I might have been the 5th person to get it, and when that family comes out, they will give it to someone else.

Really looks different in real life, unfortunately this is the best I can do Chris is coming over and we are going to see Avenue Q! We have 2nd row seats too. I hope they aren't restricted view because for some reason they are cheaper. They did have a list of restrict view though, and these seats were not on it .... so.. we'll see.
observation: Doing laundry at 8:30 in the morning is a good idea! You are garunteed there will be machines available.
