Wow what an amazing experience! Yesterday we climbed/hiked up the Franz Josef Glacier - for 6 and a half hours! Got kitted out in our hiking gear (check out the lovely pic) and then got dropped off near the glacier. Had to walk for 45 minutes through rocks and rainforest before we started the climb. The glacier is really surreal and looks just like a painting! We got split in to 5 groups, 1 being the most challenging climb and 5 being the easiest. Lib went in group 2 and I went in group 3 - longest time we have be split up for since we came away! Was orginally going to go in group 4 or 5 but thought I'd see how i did in group 3, surprisingly quite well although i did manage to fall down 2 ice holes and hurt my knee - it was literally Bambi on Ice! Found it quite hard to climb certain areas as i was born with legs like a Shetland Pony!!!! I am aching today and waddling around like a duck because of my knee but it was all worth it. Lib feels fine, she is the fittest person I know! Absolutely awesome experience and we both really enjoyed it. Went to the bar for a few (too many) well deserved drinks for our sterling efforts yesterday!

Love to all xx
