Bordering Plaza Lavalle, this was one of the buildings I went there to see, but across the street was the theater which was under construction.
It was sunny again today, so I headed for Congreso de la Nacion. I went down libertad through the plaza Lavalle which is bordered by the teatro Colon, which looked beautiful in pictures, but was under construction and covered by a large cloth so I didn't get any pictures, hopefully it won't last the duration of my trip. I took libertad to av. de mayo, which is supposed to be the place for street art-more murals then writings on the walls. I took pictures of the two I found that were interesting. The congress plaza was beautiful, but filled with pigeons and people feeding them. I still managed to wade through them and get some pictures.

This is in the middle of Ave. 9 de Julio-a 20 lane street.

The graffiti I was talking about. This one was actually on Rivadavia, the street just north of av. de Mayo.

I took a couple pictures of this as I got closer. You'll see the fountain in front later on.

Another mural I found. This was actually on Av. de Mayo and used to be much bigger, but parts of it had been scratched over.

Here you can see the fountain and some of the pidgeons.

Don't know the name of this one. It was across from the fountain and had an interesting top.

You can see Congreso de la Nacion in the left corner. This building had a little windmill on it. Also, it is difficult to see, but on the pavement there is a large drawing. There wasn't a good place to get a picture of it, but it's possible to see the colors.

Wow, the city looks really cool. I love how it has a very European feel to the architechture. From your pictures you can really tell that it looks different than like, downtown Chicago. Must have something to do with the Spainish (this is my professional opinion as a person with a minor (a MINOR) in Anthropology). Also the graffiti looks great. I love the contrast on your blog with the bright colors of the murals and the extravagance of the architecture. Keep 'em coming!
