Hello All - Well today was a lazy day, we walked around the central and then chilled by the lagoon - really lovely place, grass areas for you sit on and water was warm. We tanned a little then booked ourselves in for the Greyhound from Cairns to Brisbane. It has meant staying for 1 more night than we planned but we have checked into a different hostel that's cheaper and nearby!
Later on we came back in to town and was only planning on staying out until the last bus at 11pm being asthough we had the Great Barrier Reef daytripper tomorrow and had to be there at 8am but... we finally found cheap drinks thanks to Neils tip about the Woolshed - very strange but cool place and it was heaving, we had a chicken burritto (little bit to spicy for J for I loved it) then washed it down with many drinks at a pound each, not saying exactly how many as I know our parents are reading this... 😊
We got chatted up by a diving instructor and male nurse who were not remotely attractive so we moved onto another recommended hot spot that was famous for it's Tuesday Indie nights. We had a teapot (?) when we got in as that was also half price with a voucher we had but it was awful - we stupidly didn't bother to ask what was in it and then discovered it was Malibu based which we both hate although obviously we couldn't leave it so we drank it extremely quickly and that may be alot to do with why we have suffered with a hangover all of today! I think we rolled in at 4am which meant 2 and a half hours sleep before we had to pack and be at the harbour! We are silly yes but we have to let our hair down every once in a while and that was the 1st and last for a while on the trip.
