i finally have new photos up! ahh I have so much to say and so little time to explain it all. I switched host families which has been really different but good experiance for me already. Im living in a small country town and it is really beautiful. It reminds me a lot of home! I was getting really at home at my first host family and switching made me appreciate all the things they have done for me. I will switch back with them for Christmas though! which is really cool. My new host family is very nice as well. I have two host brothers and one host sister. One of the brothers is older and works in Paris so he isn't here that often. the little host brother reminds me a lot of what it was like when my little brothers were a lot younger and my host sister is realy nice to me, we go horse back riding which is good because I obviously know how to ride (thanks Alicia haha) and its good to do something I feel like is just normal for me. I have been to the beach near my new house and it is just as beautiful as the beach in Boulogne haha. I still go to Boulogne often and in fact i still go to my first host familys house alot as well. I have a 10 day break from school! can you believe that! So cool but i start again this Wends. For the break i have been getting to know my new host family, riding horses, and just trying to keep warm! it is soo cold here I keep wakingup and wondering where all the snow is! Monday to Wends i'm going to one of my friend Oana's house with another exchange student so that should be a lot of fun; Im learning that it is really neat how well exchange students form friendships in a matter of min. because they have soo much in common its just realy cool. I got my moms package of penut butter and loved it! everyone here thinks that it is just about the nastyest thing they have ever seen haah but of course I love it. I also got to go inside the Notre Dame in Boulogne wow, that was beautiful! i tried to take pictures but it was a little too dark and the next time i go I will try to get some more photos. I went to Berck Sur Mer with Claire (fleurines cousin) I had soo much fun! Claire was an exchange student in Canda a year ago and it was just really awesome to talk to her about her last exchange and what it was like to be back here and everything. We went to the beach in Berck and of course I was freezing! but wow was it beautiful! Oh, and i'm really sorry if you don't get as many letters or emails as you would all like... it is just very hard to send seperate emails to everyone because I don't have a lot of time on the computer. Well i will try my best t keep you all in touch! I MISS YOUUUUU!!!

My new family is part of the "gites of France" and have a few little houses where people stay on vacation and things so it is very interesting because a lot of people stay here all throughout the year right next door. I can understand why people would want to stay here..it is beautiful!

A little bit of history

A long time ago a lady figured out that the sea's water and air were very good for people's health. Now you can find many hospitals located near the sea and many elderly people living near the sea because it is so good for theie heath. The picture here is of the women who first discoved this and a lot of the towm of Berck Sur Mer have little things to honor her throughout the town.

Great photos
Kaitlynn, It is wonderful to be able to follow you through your adventures in France and sure does bring back the memories. You mentioned living out in the country. I'm sure that makes you feel more at home--especially if they have horses. Do you still go to the same high school? I suppose it isn't walking distance so your host parents must take you there? I'm glad to hear that things are going better in school and that the teachers aren't making too many demands on you. Do you have any French grammar classes so that you can understand how the language works? Enjoy your new family and stay warm! Linda
