Last night was a blast! We went to the library for a bit and then came home to start getting things ready for our pizza party. We bought caramels at the candy store to try to make caramel apples. But we couldn’t find any sticks to use for the apples, so we ended up using butter knives to stick in them. They looked really funny, but it worked. So we made the caramel and coated the apples. Then we crushed M & Ms to coat the apples because Rachel is really allergic to peanuts (and apples for that matter). They looked really funny, but it worked out really well. David and Ana were the first to arrive, and they brought lots of stuff with them. We had appetizers for them and started getting all the things ready for pizza. Lourdes, a teacher from Cecilia’s school came next, followed by Mary Carmen, also from Ceci’s school. Ceci and I prepared the pizzas… we first made one with all veggies and one with a Spanish sausage on it. We also had chips that David and Ana brought, olives, pickles, pretzels and other snacks. The first 2 pizzas came out and they were really good! We bought some random kind of cheese and it didn’t melt very well so that was a bummer. After that we made a Hawaiian pizza with ham and pineapple and one with just tomato, cheese and oregano. Another teacher from the adult language academy named Carlos arrived after that. All of the guest brought snacks and drinks and sweets. We all talked and the pizzas turned out really good. We made like 6 of them! After that we brought out the caramel apples and everyone had a fun time trying to eat them. It was hilarious and a very sticky mess. But they were good and it was fun for them to see something that we do in the USA. We talked some more and everyone left sometime after midnight. It was a successful and fun evening!
Today I just got up and went to school. I had 6th grade english and we say a halloween song and colored. i gave them some candy corn and they were so excited about it! It was a fun day. I had pictures of school and my 6th graders on here. The weather has gotten colder and I already need to wear my winter coat! People here have told us that November is a wet month so we should expect a lot of rain. I am not looking forward to that! Tonight we have our contemporary dance class and we need to pack because we are leaving for Mallorca right after school tomorrow. Hopefully we will get some good weather!!

I want one of those candy apples! Sounds like the party was a great success and, from your pictures, that everyone there had a fab time!
