I just wrote in here and everything got deleted!!!

Ahh so frusteratign typing online because you never know when things are going to be deleted!

Okay so I feel bad I never write in here as much as I would like to but I will try to fill you all in on my past weeks...

Last week I went to Alice's house (Fleurines friend) soo much fun! We ate crêpes, listened to English and French music, laughed because we both used dictionarys to explain what were trying to say, spent time with her family went to a museum.. The museum was really cool because it was actually closed but one of Alice's relatives works there and let us have like a private tour! Sooo beautiful! Everything was hand crafted and it reminded me so much of when my Grandma and I would paint ceramics. I took a lot of pictures and hope to get them on here soon!! We also walked around a lake and it reminded me soo much of home! I had a really good time with Alice and enjoyed being back into a country setting. I mean the city is great where I live now but I like to see the trees and nature because it reminds me of back home. I really hope to hang out with Alice again soon.

Folk Dancing..
I went folk dancing with the host father Bruno (who lives in another house than the one i'm at now) it was soooo much fun!!! When I first walked into the room I heard all this Irish music and Bagpipes playing it was just like in a movie haha. I got to hear a bunch of old time french music and just all sorts of things. I got to see people dancing all perfectly together and that was really neat and of course I danced! It was soo funny because I did not really even understand what the dances were but I would just fallow the footsteps of the people in front of me and in no time I could sort of catch up with the dancing. Really fun! I think I may go dancing again at the same place so I hope to take some pictures. I really loved being there and seeing the people dancing, hearing the songs it made me feel like I was in a different time.

I think I forgot to tell you all this but Cindy and I made a list of things we want to do before I leave France and so we have already done a bunch but last night we got to check one more off the list because I ate a Kebab in France haha. If anyone has ideas for the list I would love to hear them!

So I have now been here for more than a month and thought I would do a little overall of what I think about it all..

First off this place is beautiful! And I could not be more happy with the host family. I feel like I deff. was meant to do this and every day I feel soo lucky and with good reason. I am learning the language, learning the culture, seeing new things, hearing new things, thinking new things, and most of all loving every moment of it! Of course the language barrier is a difficult thing but the more I learn the more I understand I will eventually pick up the language. I'm learning to be more independant because I don't have mom and dad to beg to help me haha. I really miss my family but I know they realize how much fun i'm having and they are very happy that i'm here. School is difficult but i'm making friends, laughing at jokes because I finally understand at least very stupid ones haha, been to the sea, seen the border of England from the English Channel, eaten sooo much French food, seen a movie in French, been to Paris and just soo many more things. I love my life here and i'm starting to learn to live two lives.. The one at home and the one here and i'm starting to realize that they both fit perfectly together. I really love France!!!

I hope to write more soon!!!!

Greetings from Laurel Lake
Hi Kaitlynn, Love reading your blog. It's so good to hear that you are having a great time. I've been in Paris and we drove from France to Switzerland so I got to see some of the country. You'll be speaking French like a pro by the time you come home. Being away from Mom and Dad does tend to grow you up a lot. The leaves here are almost at their peak so you know how pretty it is. Ken and Amy are moved into their new house. The kids seem to be enjoying school a lot. Thanks for the e-mail. Love, Aunt Donna
