We leave Raton to start our drive home. First, we go to Albuquerque, N.M. and stay overnight. On the way, we pass through Santa Fe. Next, it's back to Oklahoma City. We decide to skip Little Rock and go on to Nashville. Piper and I make Mark listen to E! on XM and he now knows more than he wanted to know about Hillary Duff, Robert Downey, Jr. and Johnny Depp. From Nashville, we stay on I-40 and go through Knoxville, then Ashville, finally hitting our door none the worse for wear and definitely feeling it was the best vacation ever!

Are We There Yet?

I love to travel, although I do not get to wander about as much as I would like to. I fell in love with Costa Rica and would have happily lived there. It is the only place that made me cry to leave. Before the addition of two more Akitas to our household, we traveled across the U.S. with our two Akitas, Biscuit and Rowan. Now that Keiko and Rafu have joined the herd, I balk at moving 500 lbs. of dog around unless I need to. My family will tell you I am mostly sweet-natured with a large streak of dry humor.
