Hello, all! First off, I would like to say that we miss you all very much. We are blatantly reminded of home today for here in Hunedoara, it is a cold, rainy day. As much as we miss home, we are also realizing how very hard it will be to leave. We are only a week and a few days into our trip, and yet we are getting to know and love everybody here.
Yesterday was the first day of the Salt and Light Festival. We arrived at the Centre at about 9:30-10:00 a.m., and we immediatly got to work. We started out the day joining the Switzerland team and the Indiana team cleaning the streets and evangelizing to the bystanders. We also handed out flyers for the Salt and Light Festival. It was very cute...when some of the little boys and girls would walk up to us, they were handed the flyers specifically for children, and they would run around and show all their friends. We ate lunch at a church, then returned to get ready for the Spa. We weren't sure what to expect there, we assumed we would be doing nails, and maybe facial lotions and what-not. We arrived to find two nail stations, stations for six kinds of facial masques, toners, lotions, and etc., and even a station where ladies and men could come in to get their hair cut. We had ladies of all ages, ranging in all ages. I even painted Liviue's nails a shimmery pink. (It was still there this morning.) It was a wonderful first day of the Salt and Light Festival.
This morning, when Liviue dropped us off at the Centre, we were greeted very warmly by the children at the entrance. Children that we had seen the day before, and children we had never seen before ran up to us and gave us hugs. We are now waiting for the rain to subside so that we can go out to clean the streets again.

I am so excited to read you entires for each day you do them, and all the things you are doing if I COULD get there in a heart beat I would. I hope we will have a slide show when you get home Ann. Take care . Sharylann
