It's three years ago since we were here for Sharon and Scott's wedding. We always promised ourselves we'd be back one day.

Well 24 hours after leaving Puala Kapas (including an overnight stop in Kuala Lumpur) we finally made it back to Bali. We went straight to the hotel Lumbung Sari, in Legian where we'd stayed after the wedding. We'd remembered that it was nice there and was close to the airport and so convenient for arranging our forthcoming travel plans. After a week of island life it was a bit of a culture shock, mopeds and cars constantly tooting their horns all around you and the pestering of street traders saying, "come and look, very cheap prices for you" Our hotel, however, was set back from the main road and so blissfully peaceful.

3 days later after finally managing to book a flight to Flores on the 6th (all flights were booked out until then) we travelled across the island of Bali and spent a few days in laid-back Paddang Bai.
Then it was back to crazy Kuta ready to get our early morning flight to Flores. Unfortunately the flight was delayed by four hours.
Welcome to Indonesia!

sorry we never book hotels it's best to turn up and check it out first. There's always other places to stay especially in Bali.
