We hope and pray that this report finds you safe and healthy and actively serving the Lord where ever you are. Campaign time is upon us again and with that season a marked increase of activity, above and beyond the normal (if there is such a thing a normal in Tanzania). This week the guests and visitors have arrived and have been helping with the final preparations for this week, ie... folding tracts and getting class material together. Tomorrow the campaign will begin in Moshi. This year in Moshi we have two purposes. Many of you who have been over on campaigns, may have noticed that in the beginning we passed out numerous tracts and bible correspondence courses, and much of our focus was on the printed page and reaching as many as possible. Two years ago we switched to a more people oriented campaign, focusing more on quality in depth studies. We have also made a special plea this year for restoration. We want

to try to reach out to those Christians who have fallen away. It looks to be an exciting week, and we are anxiously awaiting the harvest of our Lord.

A typical day begins for the campaigners meeting at the building at 9AM, gathering materials, dividing up into teams, and the dispersing all over town. Around 2 we will come back to the building and have a quick lunch of beans and rice. Then at 4, the outdoor preaching and children's seminar will be conducted simultaneously. We are blessed this year to have a great group of girls here from Kensington Woods to handle the children's classes, and George Jenson will be preaching the meeting. The week after Moshi we will head to Arusha for a week long seminar, for the men, women and children separately. Followed by the third week with a campaign in Arusha. We will also have a group from Freed join us as well, lead by Ralph Gilmore. Ralph is servant of servants, and we are always excited about the group of college kids he puts together to bring, and this year we will also, as well as Ralph, be blessed to have his wife here

too. The list of campaigners this year is shorter than in years past, but there will be no lack of talent, as we have Fred and Penny Cabler here, Ken Upchurch and Robert Russell, as well a six other amazing young ladies from KW. We will have Chuck Webster and a group from Alabama join us too, and this by no means is all inclusive of the wonderful and remarkable Christians that give up so much to come and serve God and man here in Tz. each summer. Thank you to each of the campaigners, as well as those back home that make it possible for them to be here.

We also have a full compliment, of what in my opinion may be one of the best missionary teams assembled. The Baker's returned to us this week, we also will have the Samford's and Hochdorf families, The Browns, the Jensen's, the Gee's, and the Stafford's, as well as our family that will be laboring hard with the campaigners for the next three weeks. As many of you already know, the Samford's and Hochdorf families are battling with immigration to get work permits, and many of the rest of

us will be in the same boat soon. The Browns and ourselves will both be engaged in this pursuit in the next few months. Pray that it can be resolved soon, for all of the parties involved. In order to live here, you must make application and receive a work permit that is good for two years. It allows us to basically work without pay. For the last 10 years it has not really been an issue, other than the normal time and effort that it takes to get anything accomplished here in Tanzania, but as of late, it is becoming increasingly more difficult.

We were also blessed to be able to assist, or more accurately stated, get in the way while Dr. Danny and Nancy Smelser conducted two medical clinics this week. The first at the church building in Boma Ngombe, and the second was today at the Kili Kids orphanage, where my family has been working off and on over the last few weeks trying to help them get a garden started. We are so blessed to be able to have Danny and Nancy in such close proximity. They are here building a clinic in Monduli,

and doing some mobile clinics at some outlying congregations, encouraging evangelism and church planting through their efforts. The have also been joined by the daughter over the last few weeks, Lauren. They are such a wonderful example of mature Christians, who are giving up so much, and by their own means reaching out and doing things that for so many people will be life changing, both physically and spiritually. We often abuse them with late night phone calls, as Julie has a serious rash and may have shingles, and I burned the better part of my left hand cooking this evening. We are so appreciative for all they mean and do for us, and so many others here, as well as the impact that they are having and will have for God's Kingdom. Thank you Danny and Nancy. We have also been able to see Stephanie Stafford more as well as she has been helping to set up the clinics, as well as being an active part in the process, and getting to put to use, her many years of nursing experience.

As you can see, God is doing some wonderful things here in East Africa, through so

many wonderfully and multi talented people, who are serving in what ever capacity that they can. This group includes each one of you. For you are the ones who are giving so sacrificially to allow this group, of missionaries, campaigners, Doctors, nurses, teachers, evangelist, and Christians to be here co laboring with you. We know that if we continue to be faithful to God's will, that He will give the increase. Pray for each of us here. For safety in our travels and adventures, for the problems that will arise, that we may have the strength not to faint. For each of our campaigners, as well as those that are left behind in the States while they are here serving. And for each and every supporter of this grand work. Thank you one hundred fold.

As this week goes along we are hoping to make several post and updates. Pray that the harvest is grand, and that God is glorified in all that we say and do.

With Love From Africa,
Brent Richardson
