Hi guys.
Well for the last week 1/2, I have been travelling round in a little motorhome. Well, I say little, but it's actually pretty big. Anyway, in Europe, with our motorhome, we have been to Germany, Austria, and Italy, which is where I am now.

In Germany, we went to a waterpark. It was raining on the day, so luckily, it was an indoor waterpark. It had a slippery dip. You took a tube and climbed up the stairs and there was a tunnel slide. It was so much fun. There was also another slide, were you got to race people on it. You had to try different postions, and see which one made you go the fastest. The pools were really nice, and it was just the right temperature. Ater the magnificent waterpark, we had lunch in a barn. They had sausages in bread, other meats and cakes. Yum. The barn also had a huge hay stack. We were jumping down from them and landing in the hay below. It was really fun.

We didn't really do anything in Austria, we only really went there so we could get to Italy the next day.

In Italy,

Me on a gondola in Venice
we went to Venice. We hired a gondola ( That's a special type of boat you use to cross the water ) and saw lots of sights. It was wonderful. Sometimes, the gondoliers ( That's the person that paddles the boat and steers with only one paddle) sing. Dad asked our guy if he could sing. He couldn't. At St Marks Square there lots of pigeons. You get some bread, hold your arm up, and one will fly onto you. When they ate the bread, it tickled your hand. It was an amazing experience. Venice was great.

We went to Bologna. ( It's pronounced Bol on ya ) Thats were spaghetti bolognaise was first made. We saw a huge statue of Neptune. We went to a church. Instead of having real candles to light, they had electronical ones. Thats pretty disappointing. We had lunch at a restaurant. We had... yep, you guessed it, spaghetti bolongaise. It was delicious. It was a good day in Bologna.

We went to Florence as well. (Gee, my fingers are getting so sore, why did I leave this too the last minute!!!!) We only stayed there one night, so we didn't get that much time to explore, but, we managed. We saw heaps of statues, and most of them were naked. There was one with a guy chopping off another guys head with an axe, and he was holding up the head. Yuck! We tried an Italian ice-cream. It is called a Gelati. It is really nice. When we were on the bridge, dad said. " Ok, I've got some good news and some bad news. The good news, isn't that a beautiful tower up there" he said as he pointed to a hill with a tower. "The bad news, that's where we have to walk to. That was such a tiring day, and if that day wasn't hard, than I don't know WHAT is.

I am currently staying in a house (Take a break from the motorhome) that belongs to my Dad's friends. Tomorrow, we are leaving.

Well , bye! From Maddy
