Hello!!

Sorry I haven't written anything in a little while..... But I will make a little summary of the last days in Cuba now. I will try to upload some picture's as well soon, but I've had some problems with that so it can take a little while.

(I'm not responsible for any mistakes in this text, such as bad language or grammar; ) )

Last I wrote, I was on my way to Trinidad. This was a nice little city on the south coast in the middle of Cuba. I went to "casa de la musica" in this town and watched a great performance in "son" dancing by the local's and good musician's. The next day I spend on the beah with an Australian I met.

After some days in Trinidad I took a bus to Santiago de Cuba. This was a city full of history from the revolutionary day's. I visited a fortress, a cemetery where many of the national heroes had their graves. And other buildings with importance in the revolution.
A high lite in this city as well, was the "casa de la trova". This is the oldest in Cuba and the one with the best atmosphere... Paul McCartney was here a couple of years ago and enjoyed a concert!

After a couple of days here, I headed north for 2 hours to a little town called Bayamo. Here I had my first dancing-lesson in son. Pretty tricky! The evening was spend in a disco to practice, but it wasn't too much son/salsa music so I'm afraid I didn't get any better : ) But after enough cuba libre it was some crazy dancing on the floor anyway. ha, ha!!

On sunday I went for a little "expedition" to La Plata in the Sierra Maestra mountain range. This was Fidel Castro's headquarter under the revolution!

The next stop on my travel was in Santa Clara in the middle of Cuba. I spent only one day here. But that was enough to see the massive Che-monument and museum + the place were Che and his men stopped a train filled with soldiers and ammo (this was the final attack in the revolution)
In fact, I also visited a cigar-factory here. Really cool to see how they did this. Everything is done by hand, from the first growing in the fields to the last packing on the factory!

Cienfuegos was my next stop on the Cuba-round trip. I met a lot of student's from Norway here by a coincidence. I was looking for a concert place which was mentioned in the Lonely Planet. It was not any music there, but the Gateway College with around 40 Norwegian students. The world is not a big place!
I had a little "expedition" here as well. I went to some really nice waterfalls in El Nicho for one day. Nice with a day away from the city´s and some swimming in a nice natural pool!

Back to the start: La Habana. I spent the last weekend in the Capital, and I liked it much better now! It was like another city compared to the first time I came here.
I spent the last days to see the Museum of revolution, walk along the malecon, buy some music and go to a Jazz concert on the jazzclubb El zorra y el Cuervo! Great concert!!

And on tuesday the 11th of december I left Cuba and took the plane over to Costa Rica!!
