Hey guys,
here I am again from Lake Naivasha in Kenya. After Jinja, we left Uganda and headed back into Kenya where we spent a couple of days just driving... yawn...
Two days ago we finally arrived at Lake Nakuru. Lake Nakuru is a soda lake where thousands of pink flamingos patrol at the shores 😉. Lovely to look at anyway, and i was surprised about the rest of the wildlife i came across: Rhinos, which are rare even in Africa i heard, we saw herds of zebras, giraffes and antilopes, and even a hyena who munged on a flamingo ... yummee...
Unfortunately it was raining in the afternoon so we missed out on the big cats, which were hiding in the woods at that time.
The next day we headed off to Lake Naivasha to camp here for 3 nights. Hippos come to grase at the shores each night, which is pretty cool to watch. Only a little eletric fence seperates you from the hippos (which cost a girl her life last year - hippos are vegetarian, but apparently grumpy fuckers 😊 - who would have thought.
That's it from me, I am all well and we're heading for the Masai Mara tomorrow to see the migration of the wildebeest.
Love to all, Katja

Eletric fence
Hi Katja, You had good observation on electric fence and on the other side human population. It really depends on how good the E- fence is in many cases the job is very poorly done. But if it is done in a properly then there is no way any animal to cross over. We are largest domestic and industrial and some game and farm electric fence contractor There is no case in our installation which has been compromised. Rest assure e- fence is one of the way forward. reg sunil vyas perfect scan ltd
