I was only in Aventura (suburb of Miami) for a few days but it was a pretty adventurous 4 days. We happened to be there during Hurricane Katrina on her first landfall and the eye of the hurricane passed right overhead.

I was pretty nervous but the local were very calm and we just hunkered down playing Trivia Pursuit 90's edition until 1am. Thankfully Katrina was only level 1 on her first landfall as we all know the damage that she caused over New Orleans.

The trees on the golf course have very shallow root so many were knocked over by the winds. Talk about hazards on the course!

Bunny didn't make it out much on this trip because it was just too windy and wet. He just read about it on the paper.
