It’s a perfect morning in Boulder, and I’m sitting outside with a cup of tea after actually eating breakfast, thinking that I should make this morning meditation a ritual. Stopping to do nothing except nurture myself is blissful. I’m exhausted because I didn't sleep well last night, as much from excessive thinking as jet lag (although it was worth it because I came to some pretty major insights about myself). But God, it’s beautiful on my patio, and the air is so cool and clean here. I’m feeling well in spite of some pretty major health issues since I’ve returned, most notably the diarrhea that I missed in India--I shouldn’t have reminded it that it missed me!!! I haven’t been in communication because of it. I was so ill two nights ago that my former paramedic roommate threatened to take me to the ER if I didn’t improve in an hour. Of course, I didn’t want to go, so in a last-ditch effort, I took more anti-diarrhea meds and threw a few acupuncture needles in. Wonderfully enough, I’ve been much better since, and even my very Western medicine-oriented roommate is curious and impressed with the results, although he still thinks I have giardia. I’ll write more and fill in the blanks (with pics!) when I have more time and a little more sleep, but I’m happy to be home, and I love that I’ve had the opportunity to share my experiences with all of you. I’m so moved by the comments and e-mails you’ve sent, letting me know how beautiful and supportive you all are, and also what a high listening you have of me. I greatly appreciate it.
Love you,
Jessica
